Harlem Wizards Taiwan Tour 2008
The Wizards delighted fans on their five game tour of Taiwan. This was the Wizards' second Tour of Taiwan.
At Taipei Arena a huge crowd came out to see the Wizards highly anticipated game vs Taiwan SBL Pro league Champions Taiwan Beer. Eight thousand fans watched the exciting matchup where the Wizards put their 3000+ game winning streak on the line.

No one left disappointed, as this matchup produced exciting basketball, mixed in with Harlem Wizards showmanship and crowd pleasing fun. The Wizards began the night with an action packed; razzle-dazzle opening created by Wizards, Arnold "A-Train" Bernard, and player coach Eric "Broadway" Jones.
The Wizards ended the first half with a 10 point lead and gave the fans a taste of their audience participation fun, as Swoop "The Big Kid" Simpson played catch with Taipei youngsters. In the Third quarter, the game started becoming more of an exhibition, as Taiwan Beer substituted liberally, and the Wizards led by the energy and play of David "DP" Paul pulled away.
In the fourth quarter Taiwan Beer put in their starting five and made a run and cut the lead to 11, but the Wizards held off the charge. With a 17 point lead and 3 minutes to go the Wizards gave the fans of Taipei what US fans love to see and expect to experience at a Wizards game. Swoop started the fun by fouling the Taiwan Beer center and carrying him around the court. Pat DA Rock ended the game with a dunk that put the exclamation point on the evening!
The other four games in Taichung, Kaohsiung, Hualien and Miaoli featured match ups vs celebrities and college teams.

One small step for Patroons
Full house witnesses Albany lose exhibition to Harlem
JAMES GOOLSBY/TIMES UNION ALBANY'S E.J. GALLUP puts up a shot in the Patroons' first game since the CBA team returned to town. The game sold out the Washington Avenue Armory.
Wizards 98
Patroons 94
In the Wizards, the Patroons faced an independent team with a winning streak dating back 15 years and inclusive of more than 2,800 games. Harlem's usual fodder includes college and high school alumni teams. The Patroons marked perhaps the toughest test since the streak's beginning, team president Todd Davis said.
Bigger and at times a step faster than the Patroons, the Wizards pushed their lead to 12 points in the middle of the second half. The Patroons sliced it to three late in the fourth quarter but never came closer.
